rhide-1.4 is really ancient. Get update from
   http://www.lanet.lv/~pavenis/rhide.html

There are also newer GPC versions available for DJGPP based on
gcc-2.95.3. See DJGPP distribution site for these files

The same thing for Linux: upgrade RHIDE
