Is GPC dead?

Not entirely.  I did no new developement in last 9 years, but
I am trying to keep it running on newer Linux (I only use
Linux so I can not fix problems specific to other systems).
ATM gpc can not be build on current Debian (and probaly other
systems), but hopefully this should be fixable with resonable
effort.  Main breakage is due to multiarach support and
Debain folks have patches to add such support to older gcc
(which should fix this problem).
